For many individuals, investing in security solutions, such as burglar alarms and camera systems, is a crucial measure to mitigate the potential consequences of criminal activities. Consequently, many individuals rely on professional installation services to ensure that they obtain the most suitable equipment.
Companies that install security systems are subject to a comprehensive set of standards and legislation that aim to ensure the suitability of the work for its intended purpose. However, this research endeavours to determine whether these standards effectively achieve their objectives or if revisions are necessary.
Your participation in this project will contribute to the provision of information and data that can be utilised to evaluate the premise of this research. Additionally, your input will be instrumental in directing revisions if any shortfalls or deficiencies are identified.

I understand that my participation is voluntary and that I am free to withdraw without giving any reason at any time (including at the time of the interview).

I understand that data collected during the study may be looked at by the researcher’s supervisor and authorised persons from the University of Portsmouth all of whom would have a duty of confidentiality. I give permission for these individuals to have access to my data.

I agree to my interview being audio recorded. I also agree to my anonymised data being made open access.
